Description
Level 5 Sports Massage Therapy, Ashford, Kent
At level 5 a sports massage therapist’s role includes planning, providing, and evaluating sports massage treatments. Treatments in context: sports massage can be carried out for pre, post, inter, maintenance, restorative and corrective purposes (focus on ligamentous pathology and neurological conditions), using a range of complex assessment techniques, complex massage techniques, and peripheral joint manipulations.
Unlike previous courses, we provide a reading list, not one specific course manual as we expect you to read around the subject and bring information to the course not just take it away. This helps lead to you growing further as a therapist after the course has finished. We provide guidance and session cover with the principles of topics, yet the importance of research should always be there.
A comprehensive reading list will be provided so you can make a start on the precurse work to ensure your anatomy understanding is ready for the workshops. we will provide kits (taping and strapping) so you can practice the different techniques prior to the specific workshop. We do have a high expectation of the anatomy knowledge so you can get the most from the time in the workshops. You will need to be organised and motivated to get the most from this course.
