Description

Level 3 Exercise Referral, Ashford, Kent

The Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral provides the key skills and knowledge to establish you in exercise referral.

Knowledge from this course is mainly aimed at PTs wishing to implement and design exercise programs for referred clients. Giving you a greater understanding and confidence (as well as income) for healthy clients. The tutor has experience running an exercise referral scheme and has private clients with many medical conditions. Exercise is a significant factor in benefiting health; without this qualification (as a PT, you would not be covered to deal with these conditions).

You will be able to work with special populations in both preventative and rehabilitative exercise therapies. Stimulating your knowledge of special populations to enhance your exercise prescription skills above the competition (many who are not insured or qualified to train special populations). Personal trainers want to move into the lucrative bracket of personal training clients referred by medical professionals who are one step ahead of non-qualified PTs. This course is often called ‘GP referral’ and has the same qualification, but referrals can be the client referring themselves to you.

The assessment skills will be taught to gather valuable information to classify the individual into stable (you can train) and unstable (you must refer to a medical professional) categories. Low-risk and some medium-risk conditions are compatible with exercise. However, the important thing is to understand a high-risk individual; these need to be referred before starting exercise without medical observation.

KSA has a rehabilitation gym to help make assessment much more accessible by offering flexibility in assessment dates.
